For many years, Warblers Retreat was my home and a beautiful setting for the weddings and ceremonies I created as an EcoCelebrant.

Over the past couple of years, life took me in a different direction. Following the death of my mother, I moved my focus to Ōtaki Beach to care for and restore our family's historic cottage, Marly's Cottage — a place that has been part of our family story for generations.

During this time, I also needed to step back from my celebrant work and give myself time to focus on family, the cottage and my own wellbeing.

It has been a significant chapter of change, but also one that has given me the opportunity to reflect on what I really love about being a celebrant.

I am now ready to return to this work, bringing my experience and the EcoCelebrant philosophy with me to a new setting.

Marly's Cottage at Ōtaki Beach is the beginning of this next chapter.

As soon as we have completed the restoration of Marly’s Cottage, I will be offering intimate weddings and elopements for couples who are looking for something personal, meaningful and connected to place.
